Yvonne Maria Schaefer, born and raised in Frankfurt Main Germany is an actress and producer. Yvonne grew up in Frankfurt, as the older of two children. She began early on her career as a model and actress. As a child Yvonne studied ballet, while also doing theatre and performed in stage productions. Her Model career started off when she was 3 years old. Yvonne was discovered by a child photographer, who worked for major European catalog companies. Later on Schaefer worked internationally and was represented by agencies in Europe, USA, Asia and South Africa. In the 1990's meanwhile studying at the Goethe University in Frankfurt / Germany, Yvonne focused on her acting career and studied drama with prestigious acting teachers and coaches. During her studies, she worked worldwide in numerous Films, TV Series and stage productions. Through her passion and participation in extreme sports, the Maxim Lifestyle Magazine voted Yvonne Maria Schaefer as the "Action Girl". After living part time in Asia and Spain, Schaefer moved in 2008 to New York City and founded the Film Production Company YMC Films. In the States Yvonne Maria Schaefer has been successfully working as both an actress and a producer. She starred in the successful film Forget Me Not, opposite Peter Greene (the Bounty Hunter, Mask, Pulp Fiction), the film was selected and winning international film festivals. Yvonne played the character Ece, an Arabic mother and wife of a strict Moslem Diplomat, in the comedy TV Pilot Man of the House directed by Chris Backus ,with Mira Sorvino and Fergie. In the film Keep Your Enemies Closer (2011)is Yvonne the female lead, starring alongside Manny Perez (The Ministers, La Soga) and William Sadler (The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption). In 2012 YMC produced a new version of Keep your Enemies Closer, with additional new characters, more action and heightened suspends, called Keep Yor Enemies Closer, Checkmate. This film will be released in 2013. In Lily of the Feast directed by Federico Castelluccio (Sopranos, Pink Panther 2, Made), starring Tony Lobianco (French Connection, The Juror), Yvonne Maria had a fun scene with Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas, Dick Tracy). She played the role of Eve in APT.5K with Mel Gorham (Carlito's way, Smoke). Yvonne Maria co-produced in Berlin, the psychological thriller, The Child,an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Sebastian Fitzek. The cast included among others, Eric Roberts, Sunny Mabrey and Ben Becker. In this film Yvonne plays the role of Sophie Stern, Eric Roberts's characters ex-wife. The Film was theatrically in October 2012. Yvonne is signed on, to work in the upcoming comedy feature film Numba One by Michael Attardi, in the psychological thriller 3 Solitude with Jason James Richter and in the action drama Celluloid Hero with Martin Sheen In 2012 Yvonne founded a second company in Berlin, YMC Entertainment, which is working in cooperation with YMC Films New York and focusing with its three divisions on film, music and cross marketing.
